DOUG JONES,
SENIOR INVESTMENT ANALYST

John Douglas "Doug" Jones

Senior Investment Analyst

Joining the team in 2015, Doug is a Certified Financial Planner™ who loves nothing more than analyzing an investment portfolio, or looking deep into a client’s financial information and organizing the data into a picture that helps the client make more informed decisions.

Prior to joining the Precision Wealth Strategies team, Doug spent several years as an independent financial planner providing financial planning and investment management to individuals, families and small business owners. Before entering the financial services industry Doug served as President of a family-owned communications company in the St. Louis market for over 10 years. This experience provided Doug the opportunity to learn firsthand the challenges and opportunities involved in business ownership, such as cash flow planning, forecasting and exit planning. In addition, to being a Certified Financial Planner™, Doug has passed the FINRA Series 7 securities exam, and currently retains his Series 66 license and is a licensed Life & Health Insurance Producer.”

When not in the office, Doug can be found spending time with his family, volunteering around the world, or serving in music and teaching ministry at his church. When relaxing at home with his family he often smokes meat on the deck or finds himself taking on woodworking projects around the house.

What Do You Love About Financial Planning?

The numbers! And specifically, analyzing the numbers. Whether it is investment analysis or watching the various assumptions turn into a clear financial plan, I have always enjoyed working with numbers.

Who Is Your Ideal Celebrity Client?

Elon Musk, he is the Thomas Edison of our time and would be fascinating to work with and learn from.
